2008. Wadja Wadja HS. Baturo, Cooper. Developing and evaluating a whole school Indigenous aide mathematics tutoring program in a remote community.

2008. Shalom Christian College. Shalom accelerated numeracy.

2008. Western Cape College. Cooper, Baturo. Weipa Parents as First Teachers.

2008. WEIPA Indigenous Maths Education Project. This project aimed to improve attendance, engagement and performance of Indigenous students with respect to mathematics. It had two foci − teachers, and teachers aides.

2007. ASISTM. Improving Indigenous Mathematics Outcomes by Utilising Years 3, 5 ,7 Test Outcomes. This project aimed to enhance Indigenous students’ mathematics learning outcomes through developing teachers’ and teacher aides’ abilities to use Years 3, 5, 7 test results to prevent and remediate mathematics misunderstandings.

2007. ASISTM. Using finance & measurement to improve number understanding of Indigenous students.

2006-8.ARC Linkage. Sustainable maths education capacity building: Empowering Indigenous teacher aides.

2006. ASISTM. Developing skills to teach remote Indigenous students in basic number understandings.

2006. ASISTM. Mathematics content and pedagogy for Indigenous students in the Townsville district.

2003-5. ARC Linkage. Non-indigenous teachers, indigenous teacher-aides and indigenous communities: Reshaping relationships to enhance mathematics learning outcomes for rural and remote indigenous students.

2003. DEST Innovative Projects Initiative. Training Indigenous teacher-aides and parents to support the mathematics learning of educationally-disadvantaged Indigenous students in junior secondary school. This project involved training Community teacher aides in the major mathematics concepts and processes associated with support PP-3 students. The teacher aides trialled their new mathematics knowledge.

2002. DEST/EQ. Baturo, Cooper, et al. Strategic Numeracy Research & Development Initiative. This project involved professional development in practice with individual teachers, working on mathematics teaching & learning areas of concern identified by the teachers.
